I made a Potion, now what!?

You bought one of our potion kits (THANK YOU!), the kids have made their potions and now you are wondering what to do with it?  Here are some fabulous ideas to keep the play going:

  • Magic Spells & Storytelling: Let kids pretend they’re wizards or scientists, creating magical stories around their potions.

  • Potion Play Stations: Set up a play area with different ingredients and tools so kids can mix and experiment.

  • Color-Changing Experiments: Add ingredients that react and change colors for a fun science twist.

  • Bubble & Fizz Fun: Create potions that bubble or fizz by using baking soda and vinegar.

  • Glow-in-the-Dark Potions: Add a glow-in-the-dark element with safe, non-toxic ingredients like tonic water under a black light.

  • Potion Art: Use potions as paint or in sensory bottles for a cool visual effect.

  • Frozen Potion Cubes: Pour the potion into an ice cube tray and freeze it for future sensory play—kids can watch it melt in warm water or use it as a magical surprise in the bath.

  • Watercolor Creations: Add food coloring to potions and use them as homemade watercolors for painting.

  • Potion Dough: Mix potions into playdough recipes for scented or colorful squishy fun.

The best part about making a potion? You can always experiment with new versions! Try mixing different scents, colors, and ingredients to create something even more enchanting next time.
